Author Guidelines
Reporting Standards
Clinical trials must adhere to CONSORT. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses must follow PRISMA. Diagnostic and measurement studies must follow COSMIN or STARD as appropriate.
Ethics & Consent
Ethics committee approval is required for all research involving human participants. Informed consent must be documented. For retrospective studies using routinely collected clinical data, the relevant data governance approval must be stated.
Diagnostic Criteria
Authors must specify the diagnostic system used (DSM-5 or ICD-11). If older criteria were used in historical data, this must be clearly stated and its implications discussed.
Word Limit
Original research articles: 5,000 words. Review articles: 8,000 words. Brief reports: 2,500 words. All limits exclude abstract and references.
