Author Guidelines

Legal Citation

Use the Oxford University Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA) for footnote citations. Case names should be italicised. Treaty citations must include the full treaty name, date of adoption, and UNTS reference.

Word Limit

Articles: 12,000–16,000 words (including footnotes). Notes and comments: 4,000–6,000 words. Book reviews: 1,500–2,500 words.

Empirical Studies

Must describe data sources, coding decisions, and statistical methods in sufficient detail for replication. All datasets must be made publicly available.
