Author Guidelines

Structure & Length

Full Research Articles: up to 10,000 words (excluding abstract, references, and figure legends). Short Communications: up to 4,000 words. Reviews (invitation only): up to 16,000 words.

Structural Data Deposition

All novel macromolecular structures must be deposited in the appropriate public database before acceptance: PDB for protein/nucleic acid structures, BMRB for NMR data, EMDB for cryo-EM maps. Accession codes must be included in the manuscript.

Statistical Analysis

Biological replicates (not technical replicates) must be used for all quantitative comparisons. Statistical tests, sample sizes, and p-values must be reported. Error bars must be defined (SD, SEM, or 95% CI) in figure legends.

Image Integrity

Gel and blot images may not be digitally manipulated beyond linear adjustments that apply equally to all parts of the image. Original uncropped images must be provided upon request.
