About This Journal
Humanities & Cultural Studies is a diamond open-access journal providing a rigorous interdisciplinary platform for scholarship in literature, history, philosophy, cultural theory, film, and the arts. The journal is committed to critical inquiry that crosses disciplinary boundaries and engages with contemporary social, political, and aesthetic questions. No article processing fees are charged.
Aims & Scope
The journal invites critical and creative scholarly engagement across the humanities and cultural fields:
• Literary studies: close reading, genre theory, postcolonial and world literatures
• History: social, cultural, intellectual, and transnational history
• Philosophy: ethics, aesthetics, continental philosophy, and philosophy of mind
• Cultural theory: poststructuralism, critical theory, affect theory, and decolonial thought
• Film, media, and visual culture: cinema studies, television, and digital media
• Performance studies: theatre, dance, and live art
• Memory and heritage studies
• Art history and criticism
• Gender and sexuality studies
